Hier Soir…Last night

Wednesday, June 13th, 2007

Last night I got to hang out with my friend Larry-and yes we had a bit of fun with his new computer and the "photo booth".  You gotta have a sense o’ humor for yourself!  He was helping me with my old but still very trusty computer amidst wine and good ole fashion polish food.  We ate our fat intake for 2 weeks!  Ah ya gotta love how the Polish-and German for that matter-do it=)  I love lard-especially when it comes in the form of Polish Kielbasa!

I thought of you last night Chris=)  I hope your hubby doesn’t get too jealous-our song came on-Death Cab for Cutie, "Soul Meets Body".  HA-if you were a man-we’d hit it off!!!  Do you know a male version of you?  I mean, really…;-)

"I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again.  Life moves at you pretty fast.  If you don’t stop to look around, you could miss it!"  Damn-I had a crush on Ferris Bueller=)    HA!

Packing

Last night I began to go through my old trunks-full of stuff that I have put aside over the years.  Old cards, little random momentos, and piles of pictures.  It was almost too much to bare.  In fact I left my apartment and hung out with some friends in the middle of the project because I was so overwhelmed.  Yeah so tears did flow a bit yesterday-I am not ashamed to admit that.  So many good and extremely tough memories are held in this place.  I still am excited for what’s ahead…

Hello my sweets. I am soooo incredibly blessed to be surrounded by such amazing lovers as yourselves and it will be incredibly hard to leave your sides. But although I may not be physically present I have learned more about correspondence through making phone calls and emails. I know in past I have sucked at it at times-but I believe I have redeemed myself-right Chris?!=)

I wanted to personally write a thank you to my sweet Terri, Seher, Tiffany, Aaron, Rachel, Larry, Chris and Keith, Misty, Matt, Meghan, Niki, ….my fam all of you rule-oh and my PCC, Pagaea and Bucks team, you guys rule!

I love all of you but it’s finally time for me to go. I cannot beleive the words shared with me after my final interview. I have been offered an even better and more challenging opportunity and I was trying so hard not to yelp right there and then in my seat=) I am soooooo excited for this opportunity!!!!! And my team is amazing-my mentor is incredible. The talent and heart in that office is just awesome. Thanks for your support all of you!!!!!!! I am going to be working with an incredibly diverse and beautiful group of individuals out in NYC-religious leaders of the Muslim, Jewish, Christian and so on-I will be involved in the midst of polotics and religion-craziness I know. But I love learning and I love the challenge! There is just so much beauty in each of the faith communities I will have the priveledge of meeting and working with. I will be working with disaster relief and recovery in the heart of NYC. This organization helps the low income and the underserved in the city. I am extremely blessed I feel.

anyhoo, I am writing this while still visiting with my sweet Misty in Manhattan. So I will catch up soon.

Love you all,

em

So oh yeah-I am moving to NYC!!!!!! I am freakin’ excited=)

Peace
