So here we are-a sunny 55 degree day in Cincy.  Life is sweet-everyone is outside playing and so we were playing at work.  (Don’t tell my boss:)  I was a good boss and let my assistants go home way early and frolic in the wonderful day that is today!  They were soo excited they couldn’t contain themselves-I always hire the excitable ones-they keep life more interesting:)   

So I hope the levels of bs are low and soon levels of relaxation and fun are high-enjoy your weekends all!!  Make me proud-sing at the top of your lungs and dance in the car!  Courtney, I know you and I already have that covered-keep up the good work buddy:)

So I slept poorly last night and it seems as though so did the rest of the campus at UC.  Needless to say we had our job cut out for us-its good to keep this campus caffeinated-you never know what kind of monsters come out without there cup of joe:)

I had another sweet moment of gratitude for working at this job.  One of my customers who I believe is in her 50’s is so lovely.  She is a prof and I love chatting with her.  She pulled me aside after I asked her how she was doing and she confessed to me-not well.  Her father passed away in January and it is now starting to sink in.  She told me she wanted to simply keep a shirt of his-but that her sister got rid of everything.  I told her I can’t even begin to fathom what that is like.  Her eyes welled up a bit and we just talked for awhile.  After we spoke-she told me with a great smile that she felt better:)  I must admit it feels good to know that people that are customers look to me as a friend, ’cause I see them as such.  I have been blessed with several of these experiences over my time working with Starbucks and it makes me realize that I have not chosen a bad profession!

On another note, Em is still in the running for 3 positions-one at UC, one in Detroit and one in Atlanta-one things for sure I am stickin’ in the people business-so we shalt see won’t we!!!!
