forget drugs!

Mindy and I do not need any influence to be absolutely rediculous. Never knew an orange and a pair of punching gloves could be so much fun-oh wait yes I did:) I could find a meer peice of paper terribly exciting and thuroughly entertaining with the mind I’ve been given! Of course the hour in which everything starts to become absolutely hilarious begins for me around midnight or 1am. The picture of myself peering between my legs is reminiscent of when I was 4-need I say more?:) Of course that picture will be removed in one day-so if you miss it-my gain! Your loss for blackmale purposes:) Also if you were wondering-yes a cork thrown into a moving fan blade also adds to an evening of excitement!

Ah yes-Ang it is Friday indeed!

So I am so incredibly relaxed my fingers barely tap the keys.  You know when you feel so lethargic that your body feels like if it had lost it’s bones-you would be a pool on the floor-that’s how I feel.  But it is wonderful.  Today folks, Em received the news that I have a very, very high chance of getting a job as an operations specialist with Starbucks.  This would entail lots of traveling but all in one region.  There are two regions available-In the South and out West-either one would be wonderful!  I would train Managers and team members to open new Starbucks’ within their respective regions.  So I may get the job with UC-I may not.  But this job with Starbucks would offer more in terms of upward movement and finances.  However, that free school thing I would miss.  All in all, I can’t complain!  I did that yesterday and I am done!  I love my coworkers and man I will miss them terribly-and of course I will miss my wonderful customers as well.  I already miss some of them-you know who you are:)

Love you all and hope to see and talk to you soon!  And Courtney, always good catching up with you-thanks for stoppin’ in!  Ang-hope your job lets up and gives you a little more freedom to converse-if nothing else-love you

Em

going off!!!!!!

K.  So here it is.  I am tired.  I am frustrated.  And I gotta get out of here as fast as I can!!!  Didn’t get a break today ’cause as usual it was crazy busy and I let someone go-so for a few more days its going to be this way.  Then I get the news of my raise-or shall I say what raise!!!  I, as of November had the #1 Starbucks in the region-the region and Aramark could give 2 craps obviously.  If this other job doesn’t pan out I am out of Cincinnati-that was the plan and I am sticking to it!  So Em is going to look elsewhere across the board.

I’m sayin’ some prayers-God’s got something in store and I’ll be patient.  But bring it on!!!

This one goes out to the special customers!!

Wednesday, January 18th, 2006

So if you’ve ever worked as a server you have one of these customers.  Ian comes in about three times a day and gets the same drink.  But there is definitely something special and cracked out about Ian.  He loves to tell all of us workers about his love life in a very audible manner (using explicit language).  He also likes to tell me when someone has "taken a dump" and the smell is unbearable in the restroom.  I always appreciate that:)  He in general likes to keep us all informed about whatever is on his mind at any given moment.  God love him-he is entertainment for my day!

Ah Food Service!

Tuesday, January 17th, 2006

So guys-what is it?  Do you have a personal vendetta against me and my shop?  ‘Cause the severe lack of aim in the lovely Starbucks bathroom TWICE-is more than I can bear.  I mean the floor, partial wall, and lets not forget every inch of the seat-oh and did I forget to mention TWICE?  I mean come on folks.  Luckily I am not squeamish-but baby, some one needs to get it together!

On another note-Em had her work cut out for her when she got in this morning.  You see it seemed that a gallon of milk in the back fridge had a slow leak and formed a nice pool that over our 3 day weekend congealed to a nice cheesey substance-mmmmmmmmmm-you know you want some of that!  I ate it up!!!  Of course I didn’t-but I certainly cleaned it to a pristine state:)

My final news will not disgust or disturb you.  I ran into one of the lovely interviewers on campus and she stated that I was an "excellent candidate for the position".  Yep, that’s right, better believe it!!!:)  So here’s to patience and hopefully soon all of you will have to celebrate with me!

drivin’ girl!

Sunday, January 15th, 2006

I’m a manual driver now!!!!  Seher and I went out and I have not driven manual since I was 13.  But as of today this girl can drive smooooth and manual:)  I must admit I am proud.  Matt you gotta be proud:)  It’s quite fun actually.  Now its food time-and Seher’s hubby’s makin’ me a special drink, while she drinks her white zin:)  Have a sweet evening all!

By the way-don’t want to go home:(  It’s beautiful down here.  Can we just transport my apartment and everything here-thanks that be great.

live from dayton airport!!!!

Saturday, January 14th, 2006

Howdy!  Yes I am writing you via Dayton airport internet access-how wonderful is that!  Just killin’ time before I get on the plane.  I love flying-the taking off and landing is my favorite:)  Pray that Seher and I’s drive back to cincy from Jacksonville safe and sound on Monday.

update and sweetness! Warm fuzzies:)

Friday, January 13th, 2006

So here’s the update-the interview went very, very, very well!!!  So I will hear in about a week and a half.  Patience is a virtue-ha!  So I am enjoying my wonderful day off-slept like a champ-ate like a champ(and plan to eat some more:)

On another note, I have the sweetness part of my daily journal.  It goes as follows:  My dad for whatever reason brought up his involvement in Vietnam-with still so much vagueness the other day on the phone.  But nonetheless, he said something so sweet.  He swears to this day that God spared him his life to have and know Matt and I.  He never stops tellin’ us how proud he is of us both-awwww:)  My dad never ceases to amaze me-you should meet him!  He’s high quality-like the rest of my fam’:)

2pm!!!!

Thursday, January 12th, 2006

God listened to my plea for sunshine!!  It is absolutely awesome here!  A high of 58-can’t go wrong:)  Well today at 2 pm is my interview-we’re prayin this will be my next adventure!  I do well in interviews so here goes nothin’!

On an unfortunate note, I had to let somebody go today-there were tears but they are ok:(  Talk to ya soon!

wishin’ for sun!

Wednesday, January 11th, 2006

Feel like crap today-thought I’d share:(  Everything at work has been haywire and I’m exhausted from this cold and anxious for what this interview might bring.  I am hoping for sun in Atlanta and Florida this weekend!  Seher called me with my flight! I have missed you terribly Seher-can’t wait to have you back in cincy!  Need a nap-but gotta go back to work!  Hope your day is wonderful!

Today at my shop a young family came in that I know.  It is so sweet to see them.  The husband is a prof at UC and his wife and two little ones join him once a week for lunch.  The little boy is only 1 and a half and he was trying to take off up the steps, while the young girl who is 3 is twirling while stairing at the ceiling.  I was waiting for her to get sooo dizzy and tumble to the ground:)  While watching I wished I was 3 again-so much easier and less heart ache:)
